Old Spice Café|Home-made Unique Secret Recipe @ M-City Ampang, KL

Usually when people asked me “where and what to eat in Ampang??”, I seriously got no idea and the answer that I give will be “ask Mr. Google”. But now, I no longer will give that answer because there’s a hidden gem located in M-City Ampang waiting for you to explore.



Old Spice Café
Located in M-City Ampang (you can Waze or Google), this hidden gem restaurant actually serves local food – Western and Mamak cuisine. The unique recipe was accidently created by the owner during cooking and you couldn’t get it anywhere else.


Let starts with……

Chili Chicken – one of the Old Spice Signature Dish. This succulent chicken served together with creamy prawn paste gravy and potatoes. My highly recommend and must have dish.

Lamb in Chili and Soya Sauce – the lamb was juicy, tender and well marinated in soya sauce.  One of my favorite of the night.

Ayam Masak Merah – tender chicken cooked in rich and creamy spicy tomato sauce. The taste is beautiful and tantalizing. Can I have a bowl of white rice please!!!!!

Chili Prawn – fresh prawns sitting in a pool of prawn paste gravy together with stewed brinjal. 

Roti Jala with Chicken Curry – lace pancake served together with flavorful curry. Simple yet delicious dish!!!

Spicy Chicken Drummet [Front] & Cheesy Chicken Drummet [Back]  – crispy chicken drummet topped with cheese or mix chili sauce. 

Let’s complete our meal with Pengat Pisang – cooked pisang raja sitting in a pool of gula Melaka broth and Passion Fruit Ice Cream – vanilla ice cream topped with passion fruits. 


Overall Opinion:  When I 1st heard the name of the restaurant, I seriously didn’t expect much from the beginning. But the moment I tasted their unique secret recipe, I can tell you, you will never regret to dine in here and unforgettable!! Definitely I will come back for more. Furthermore, I would also like to take this golden opportunity to thank Foodilifecious and Old Spice Café for having me!!!!!
