Bowl & Thai Café @ Plaza Mont Kiara, KL

It is hard to get nice and affordable Thai food in KL/Selangor but there’s one café located at Plaza Mont Kiara that you wouldn’t want to miss out – Bowl & Thai Café. Tucked away at a quiet corner in Plaza Mont Kiara (this place is a hot spot among the office crowd) and located opposite to Galaxy Korean Mart, this café surprised you delightful Thai favorite street food.



First up……

Thai Minced Pork and Basil [RM10] – hearty bowl of rice together with the pleasant fragrance of basil leaves and chilies, stir fried minced pork with savory fish sauce to yield for rich, flavorful dish that makes you want for more.

Thai Noodle Salad with Shrimp [RM13] – a little spicy and sourish glass noodle together with a generous serving of shrimp and squid that makes it a great appetizer (I personally would prefer it to be a little spicier).

Tom Yum Gung with Rice/Noodle [RM11] – very authentic spicy lemongrass and shrimp soup that give you pungent and zesty feast with every slurp.

Thai Pandan Chicken – little pieces of chicken that gives you fragrant of pandan leaves with every bite. (very mouth-watering and superb)

Thai Fried Rice with Pandan Chicken [RM10] – the little spicy and flavorful stir-fried rice together with the little pieces of chicken that full of pandan aroma with every bite really maxed out my taste buds as they danced in delight of the next bite.

Thai Shrimp Omelette with Rice [RM10] – a bowl of plain rice topped with golden brown omelette (crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside).

Thai Chili Pork Rice [RM10] – each mouthful of the Thai Chili Pork definitely will tantalize your tastebuds with each bite you take!!!

Thai Garlic Chicken Rice [RM10] – you wouldn’t want to miss this if you’re garlic lovers; definitely will satisfied your tastebuds with the strong fragrant of garlic.


Overall Rating: 7.5. Seriously, I didn't expect much from the beginning, but the Thai food here certainly out of my expectations!!! The only downside – location (we nearly give up as it took us about 10 minutes only to search this restaurant). So, if you’re looking for affordable and decent Thai food, this would be the place – Bowl & Thai Café.
