Ramadhan Buffet @ Best Western Premier Dua Sentral, KL

When it comes to celebrating the holy month of Ramadhan (puasa month), many hotels and restaurants are creating special menus for all Muslims customers. In conjunction with this holy month, I’m indeed fortunate to have the opportunity food tasting and also this is my 1st review for Ramadhan buffet J

Best Western Premier Dua Sentral

Located strategically in the heart of KL’s rapidly expanding business and developing area, Kembali Kitchen comes up with an international buffet dinner with selection of local and international cuisine.

Here are some pictures that I took…….

Live ‘ghazalperformance by Arawsa Band

Traditional Malay Appetizers – Wide selection of sauces for the fresh greens (Ulam).

Salads and Cold Cuts – I felt that the salads were fresh and the hams were tasted fine.

Breads and Soups – The Tom Yam was a little too sweet and the Pumpkin soup was watered down. This was kinda out of my expectations.

Romali Bread – I felt that this bread is much more softer and smoother to paired with Beef Masala, Chicken Curry or Vegetarian Dhall compared to the usual naan bread. Well done Chef Khan!!!!

Main Dishes – There are wide selection of main dishes (about 10+ range of dishes). You definitely have to try out their Briyani Rice (must try!!), seriously one of the great Briyani Rice I’ve trieds so far. However, some of it wasn’t as well done and kinda out of my expectations too.

Asam Laksa – The Asam Laksa’s soup taste just right (it would be best if add on some spiciness and sourness into the soup) but the noodles were mashed probably it might just over-cooked.

Satay – One of the local favorite and it runs out pretty fast.

Desserts – From wide variety of pastry to assorted thoughtfully and fruity-garnished ice-creams, I’m kinda disappointed as most of those were either too sweat or somewhat artificial.

Overall Rating: 5/10. The main concern would be the quality served as well as the selection for me. I was expecting a bit more from this buffet for the price of RM98++ per adult. However, I have to say that the service was great as those servers were effective and efficient for plate collections or tend to any specific requests from the guests.
